Regulations and Terms – Human Act Prize 2025
Given the open nature of the Human Act Prize (HAP) platform, by registering for the program, you agree to allow us to use and process your personal/organizational information and submitted application without prior notice or compensation, for the purpose of operating and promoting the program and the award. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
HAP reserves the right to contact applicants using the provided information throughout the course of the program. Additionally, personal data included in the application may be shared with affiliated parties for press and media purposes.
HAP and its media partners (including but not limited to news outlets, social media platforms, etc.) have the right to use publicly disclosed business information for publishing on websites, press releases, social media, and other communication channels.
For any information you provide to us or that we obtain from your award application, you represent and warrant that all such data, images, and videos ("Data") are accurate and lawful, and that you have the full right and authority to share and grant us permission to use and process such Data in compliance with all applicable laws and relevant privacy regulations. You acknowledge and agree that we are not obligated to verify the accuracy or legality of the Data and that you will bear full responsibility for any breach of this warranty.
The Organizing Committee reserves the sole and final right to determine all award results based on published evaluation criteria, and to verify the eligibility of all applicants. Any complaints or allegations related to the award will be handled in accordance with the Organizing Committee's internal regulations. If a submission is found to potentially violate the law, the prize rules, or is the subject of a formal complaint, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify it. All decisions made by the Organizing Committee are final and not subject to appeal or dispute.
If awarded a prize, you are responsible for fulfilling any personal income tax obligations arising from the award, in accordance with applicable laws (if any). Non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another individual. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any dissatisfaction regarding the awarded products.
By accepting any award, you consent to allow the Organizing Committee, sponsors, or affiliated media partners to contact you and use the information and data provided in your application for publication or promotional purposes, without any compensation. We shall not be held liable for any claims and/or damages, whether known or unknown at this time, of any kind, arising out of or related to: (i) the prize itself; and/or (ii) any tax obligations related to participation, the prize, or the use of the prize.
All submitted project profiles, products/services, and ideas will be published and stored on the Prize’s website and data archive for long-term purposes including communications, awareness-raising, community connections, and knowledge sharing in support of community action. By participating, individuals/organizations acknowledge that such publication and storage are fullBvligned with the promotional and operational purposes outlined in Section 1.
Human Act Prize ("we") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and personal data. This privacy policy explains how we use your information as a candidate participating in the HAP, including any personal data submitted via the application system, phone (including SMS), written communication (letters or email), or in-person interactions.

By registering for the Prize, you consent to the collection and processing of your data in accordance with this policy. All information submitted during the application process will be treated as accurate and eligible for public disclosure. We reserve the right to publish this information in our program communications, including through websites, media outlets, social media platforms, and other distribution channels (including those of our partners). This information may also be shared with affiliated parties for press and media purposes, as outlined in the General Terms
Our website and online content may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications. Clicking on these links or enabling these connections may allow third parties to collect or share your data. We do not control these third-party sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. When leaving our website, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of every site you visit.
Whenever candidates provide personal data, we process and use such data in compliance with all applicable Vietnamese laws related to data protection.

3.1 We collect and process personal data. Typically, the personal data we collect and process includes information related to identity, transactions, application records, and engagement activities, such as:
3.1.1 Identity Data: including full name, job title or other identifiers, marital status, gender, and photographs. 3.1.2 Contact Data: including billing address, email address, and phone number. 3.1.3 Transaction Data: including records of your interactions with us or visits to our premises. 3.1.4 Application Data: including information collected from your responses and application process. Please note that we may collect and/or process other types of personal data from time to time, depending on the context.
3.2 We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data (such as details about race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, health data, or genetic and biometric data). We also do not collect any data relating to criminal convictions or offenses.
3.3 We collect personal data either directly from you or via third parties (see Section 7: Third Parties).
We use various methods to collect data from and about you, including:
Direct interactions: You may provide us with your Identity, Contact, and Personal Information by filling out forms, or by communicating with us via post, phone, text message, email, or other means.
Where we need to collect personal data by law, or to process your participation in the Prize, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to proceed with your application or participation. In such cases, we may need to cancel your registration or submission, and we will notify you if this is the case.

6.1.1 Carry out communications, and fulfill obligations arising from your participation;
6.1.2 Collect feedback and conduct research related to our activities;
6.1.3 Inform you about changes to our programs or activities.
6.2 We do not sell your data to third parties or permit third parties to contact you without your permission.
6.3 We only share your data with third parties when we are legally obligated to do so or have identified a valid legal basis. We may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent when required or permitted by law.
6.4 When you have explicitly given us your consent, we may also use your information:
6.4.1 To provide you with information about other activities similar to those you have previously shown interest in; and

7.1 We will keep your personal data confidential unless its disclosure is required or permitted by law, or when we engage third-party service providers to support our operations.
